1. Torque method
According to the proportional relationship between torque M and pre-tension, the nut is initially tightened with an ordinary wrench, and then the special wrench that can display the torque value is screwed to the specified torque value.
2. Angle method
A method of determining the rotation Angle of a high strength bolt in direct proportion to the pretension of the bolt after close contact between plates and layers. When tightening, first use a short wrench to screw the nut to the non-rotating position, and then use a long wrench to screw the nut to the specified position to achieve pre-tension.
3. Break the bolt tail
Used for high strength torsional shear bolts with a special tail. When tightening, use a special wrench to cover the bolt and bolt tail, one sleeve is turning, the other sleeve is reversing, when the nut is tightened to a certain degree, the bolt tail is broken. Since the depth of the notch at the bolt tail is determined by the relationship between the torque and the pretension, the corresponding pretension value is reached when the bolt is screwed off.
Tips: In high strength bolted connection, the friction coefficient has a great influence on the bearing capacity. The test shows that the friction coefficient is directly related to the material of the component, the roughness of the contact surface and the size of the reverse force, among which the form of the contact surface and the material of the component are the main factors. In order to the friction coefficient of the contact surface, the contact surface of the component within the connection range should be treated during construction. The treatment methods include sandblasting and cleaning with wire brush.
